Convert HTML to RTF?

Maybe this is an old topic, or somebody has talked about it. But I still can't find the solution.

I have created an HTML document in PHP. Then I want to convert it to RTF. I've read there are no built-in functions in PHP that do this.

So, what would be a good way to convert to RTF, then?

Does anybody have any idea? The best case would be, if someone could show me the PHP script how to do this, so I could add it in my program. The worst case would be, I have to buy an extra software, like HTML-RTF Converter Pro or something.

a brief google turned up PHP DocWriter. it is licensed under LGPL. although aimed at creating staroffice docs it can output other formats.

i'm not sure whether it does an actual conversion but it will create rtf documents for you.

Hmm..I'm not sure if phpdocwriter can help me. I have to figure it out first how this thing works. I have downloaded it and it seems to have a lot of functions...

You know what?

I just put the extension to .rtf and it worked, using fopen function. Well, at least for now it solved my problem.

But I will take a look at the two links you gave me.
