I am trying to play a game written in DOS, but I don't seem to be able to free up enough conventional memory for it to run. I have a Dell Inspiron 2500 with an Intel Celeron 800 mHz and 256 mb of RAM, and I am running Windows XP Professional. Any suggestions on how I can get the full 640K or close? Thanks in advance!

Have a look here and see what you can pick up.

I did see this there and some other tips too.

"Right click on the executable file to the game you wish to run in DOS. In
the properties box, there is a 'Memory' tab. Here you will find all the
options for setting different types of memory. By setting these, whenever
you double click the excutable from Windows, that amount of memory will be
alloacted to the DOS box it opens in."
