I've just finished work on a huge macro that needs to be run every month or so. This may seem like a dumb question, but I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find anything. Is there a way to make the macro easily runnable without having to open the application it uses (Visio) then importing the macro, then running the macro, etc. Maybe a file or something that somebody can just double click and then get the macro running?

Thanks

Not real familiar with VBA and visio, but you should be able to add it as a menu item, if you search the forum there are several posts on this topic (don't have any links right now.) I think there maybe even a FAQ concerning this.

Try faq707-5933

Should help you out, if you're running the macro from the same PC everytime, otherwise you'd have to do this to every PC that might run it.

See that's the thing, I have no idea what computer it will be run on. I didn't think there'd be a simple solution,(I never expect that from MS). I just thought I'd ask =)

If the macro was created in VBA Access you can right click on the macro in the db and select create shortcut. I am not familiar with macro's in the other MS programs, but maybe that will give you something to look for.

Ascent.

Can you run this (no pun intended) by again?

A VBA macro requires an application to run in. You can not run VBA code without an application. That is why it is VBA,

I have no idea what your huge macro is doing, but can you not make it so when you open the file it is in, it just runs? Why do you have to "import" it?
