I have successfully distributed a report to a shared drive on one of my servers. I have created a shortcut to this report and it runs fine. However, when I go into the properties of the shortcut and change the "Target" location to the UNC for the server, I receive the "Cannot Open Control File" error message. When I change the target back to the drive mapping name the shortcut works again.
As the users of these reports do not have the drive mapped I need to use the UNC ... how do I either get this to work or change the CRF file to recognize the UNC?
The database in the report is set up as a UNC.
