I have a main form and a subform on a networked split database. Nothing fancy, just a main form and a subform. My problem is that it takes 5 minutes for the forms to load.

I was thinking about continous forms. Not what I really want to do, but I need faster speed.

My first question - is continuous forms faster? If not, what could I possibly do? I did the Autoname correct thing, but my form is still very slow.

Help!

I don't think there's much to gain (recordset needs to be loaded for both form types), but I don't really know. There are some more tips in this Access Performance Faq that might provide some helpful tips.
