A textbox at the top of an Excel spreadsheet that contains text, is so thin (just a line) that It is not possible to select it in order to delete it. When the spreadsheet is saved as an HTML document and viewed from the web, this text from the thin text box becomes visible but overlies the top of the spreadsheet. How can I get rid of the text box?

Try using the Zoom to get the page to display much larger, and you should be able to get the mouse on the textbox to select it, then delete it.

Thanks for the tip, but afraid it doesn't work. Even at max zoom (400%) text box is still a line and cannot be selected/deleted.

Try selecting the entire worksheet, then click on Format, Row Height and set to e.g. 12.75, the default row height.
Then you should be able to select the line itself.
