Good Day,

For some reason the other day after a power failure the server started up and customer could not access contact store.
This is the error:
HTTP Status 404 - /servlet/cscm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

type Status report

message /servlet/cscm

description The requested resource (/servlet/cscm) is not available.

I'm not familiar with tomcat but I reaqd the notes and tried to restart it by doing command :
$CATALINA_HOME\bin\startup.bat
doesnt work.
The CS and VMPRo are on the same server different partitions. Windows server 2008 R2 64bit

Any HElp will be appreciated. Theres no further documentation on this :-(

By default the postgresql user credentials are eware/eware but according to the Avaya docs the password will be changed after first time login to ContactStore.

The password then should be the same as the password you use to loging CS.
I am not sure about that and I cannot verify it as I have no production server to access from here, I did a clean setup on my PC of CS and did not login on the CS webpage yet ( must go to the eye meds now )
You can connect to the database of CS via <server URI or IP Address>:6432 and perform a SQL query "DELETE FROM public.alarms;
It will erase all alarms in the alarms table.

screenshot of the console:
psql (9.2.2, server 8.2.13)
WARNING: psql version 9.2, server version 8.2.
Some psql features might not work.
WARNING: Console code page (850) differs from Windows code page (1252)
8-bit characters might not work correctly. See psql reference
page "Notes for Windows users" for details.
Type "help" for help.

eware=> delete from public.alarms

which tool shoud I use to connect to the postgre database pgadmin or putty ...

I have erased the alarms but still no go, I have worked two hours on it and that is my limit in fault finding.
Now I have asked to provide me a dedicated server ( virtual or not ) with a fresh and untouched OS preferably Win2008Server.
The server now running is also a Win2008Server but so loaded with all kind of policies and restrictions I don't have all the rights I need to solve the problem.

So I will only repair the system unless I have a virgin server and get it all working as it should and thereafter they can do anything they like so if there is any problem I can say "It did work before you touched it so you solve it" wich makes me a lot happier.

I used PGAdmin tool, cleared the alarms, contact store is working fine now.
By the way i have lot of wav files and tmp files in the VRL directory, what does this mean? How can i clean up the VRL folder, the data is around 3-4 GB in size.

I believe this is not yet collected by the contact store to the storage partition and probably will never be collected by CS. Is it safe to delete these files or is there any other way to remove them from the VRL folder??
