Constant Reboots

I have seen this posted before but I had never read it. A friend brought me a machine last night that get as far as the Windows screen and reboots every time.

It never gets to a login screen!!!

Even in safe mode as soon as it finishes the AGP check it reboots.

I have tried every piece of hardware in the machine with no results. And, if I attach a test drive it will go on and boot to that drive so it is not hardware.

My question. On the Microsoft site I saw one time a list of about ten thinge to try to get the machine to boot so you could correct the problem. BUT, I can't find it again.

If anyone remembers where this is or if you know a solution please let me know.

It could be a virus most likely mablaster.
Have u tried to boot in safe mode?

Yes; As stated above it does the same thing in safe mode.
