Hi I'm a newbie so please take it slow.
I'm running win98 & coldfusion v6.1.
I've also got an apache/mysql server setup on the same machine.
In order to get cf working I manually uninstalled it, reinstalled it and added:
application.home=c:/CFusionMX
in the
c:\CFusionMX\runtime\bin\jvm.config file.
I've tried to follow the compass travel tute but I can't add any data sources. I get the error message:

Connection verification failed for data source: CompassTravel
[]java.sql.SQLException: 'C:\\WINDOWS\\TEMP\\compasstravel.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: 'C:\\WINDOWS\\TEMP\\compasstravel.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

I have tried moving the mdb file but that don't work.

Also I've displayed a helloworld.cfc message from the folder if that helps.

Any help would be dandy.
Cheers
Peace

It doesn't seem to be able to find the mdb in the path specified are you sure its in c:\\WINDOWS\\TEMP\\compasstravel.mdb

Positive.
I've tried to place the file in various folders, including the folder, but every time I point to it using the browse server button it returns the same error.
Heres my startup log

Hi Peeps, solved it.
Basically coz my coldfusion's on win98, I have to create an ODBC data source using the Windows ODBC Administrator, then open the ColdFusion MX Administrator & add a new data source selecting JDBC-ODBC bridge as the driver type.
See
for complete solution.

Cheers
Peace
