Connection problem

I cannot get DWCS4 to connect to my site by FTP.
When trying to connect to ftp server I keep getting "an fpt error occured - cannot make connection to host"
I can connect fine with Firezilla, what am I doing wrong?

Do the settings in DW match those in Filezilla? Password address etc.. all the same?

Is there a firewall that may be blocking DW?

Yes, everything matches to the Firezilla set up, exactly, which is why I am so confused. There is a firewall but I set it up to allow dreamweaver complete access to the site...I suppose I could try to access it with no firewall at all, but I am nervous to try that. Any ideas?
