Hi,
I am using Exch 2k3 (SP2) ..all my mail is filtered at internet level by the EPA filtering service.
I have been trying unsuccessfully to get my exchange server to only accept mail from EPA's IP ranges, however mail sent direct from other sources (spammers) is still getting thru.
I did this in the SMTP virtual server under Properties > Access (Tab)> Connection (button).
I then enabled connection filter on the virtual server under "Advanced" button.
Restarted services but it made no effect, mails from all sources were still getting thru.
So I placed the same subnets under the global Allow list in the Message Delivery section.
Mails are still getting thru from any IP tho.
It's doing my head in now.
Can anyone suggest why the everythings being allowed to connect and not just the subnets I want?
TIA
