I have to setup two new servers from the ground up. They are both 2003 Servers with Exchange 2003. They will talk to each other through a vpn connections. The goal is to have two Exchange servers talk to each other, share contacts and calendars across the VPN with each server. What is the best way to do this? Should both servers be in the same domain or can two exchange servers share info between them with different Active Directory structures??
There are only about 15 users at each location.

Depending on the speed of the VPN connection, I think the BEST way for your setup would have been 1 domain, 2 DC and 1 Exchange Server. But yes keep them in the same domain

I thought that might be the best way to do it, although I am going to have 2 exchange servers. This way they don't have to run exchange protocols through a vpn which is very slow and not dependable. I was wondering if anyone else has this type of setup and if there are any problems that arose.
