I'm trying to connect to the Signaling Server using telnet command. This is what the system returns:

telnet 10.1.60.15
Trying 10.1.60.15...
Connected to 10.1.60.15.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.

If I reset the SS, the connection is establish, but I have to reset the SS every day so I can connect to the system remotely in order to do maintenance. How can I fix this??

The system is a cs100E Rls 4.5

Thanks

1.) Make sure you have the current patches installed on the SS
2.) How many simultaneous connections are being established at the same time?
3.) Is it possible another application is not dropping their connection?
4.) What client are you using? Telnet? PuTTY? Other?

Seems like the session limit is exhausted to me.

Actually ... we were having the issue too where our telnet session would disconnect us ... we found this fix below to allow your session to remain open without the forced disconnect:

For Windows XP follow these steps:
• From the Start menu choose the Control Panel
• Choose Network and Internet Connections
• Choose Network Connections
• With the right mouse button choose Properties from Local Area Connection
• Choose the Advanced Tab
• Choose Settings
• Choose the Advanced Tab
• Choose Settings for ICMP
• Activate Allow incoming echo request
• Confirm your changes with OK

The default setting in a freshly installed and updated Windows XP installation has the built-in firewall configured such that the computer does not answer ICMP echo request.

Correct, once the session is established the workstationhas to get and respond tothe ICMP Ping request, or the session willdrop. This issue above is a connect failure, and ICMP is not required for that.
