Connecting to Informix DataBase?

I need to connect to an Informix database running on a Linux box for a Query program. Can I do this With Visual Basic.Net, if so how? I have Visual Studio. Net so if it cannot be done with VB what about other languges on Visual Studio?

It wont matter what language you are using as they all use the .Net framework

You should be able to connect to informix using ODBC. I cant really help you out as I have no experience in doing it but you should check out MSDN Library as it tends to be quite useful. But, I think you'll have to expose the informix db driver to your application. I know this isnt a ton of useful infomration, but maybe I've sent you in the right direction or maybe someone else will provide more useful information. To answer your question, I'm about 80% certain that you can do what you need to do
