I have a cisco catalyst switch already in place, and have been given a 3com superstack switch to increase our number of ports.

How would I connect these together (only one subnet)?

Should I just use a crossover from one port on the cisco to another on the 3com?, is it as simple as that?

thanks

It is as simple as that unless you want to be able to manage the stack , can't help you with 3com . Also i would make sure the stack was stripped and put at factory defaults before hooking it up to anything .

Bear in mind the default settings for STP on the 2 devices:

Cisco will be a single VLAN running STP (PVST+) enabled

3Com will be a single VLAN with STP disabled

Not such a big deal if you just connect a single cross-over cable, but if you (accidentally?) connect 2 and make a loop.......
