I need some help with connection 2 routers through T1 Point-to-Point. I used RJ48C to connect between 2 routers and it's communicate fine but when I connect between the 2 branches throught T1 I can't ping between those 2 routers. I used RJ45 between 2 sites (RJ48C did not work). I got green light when using RJ45 but there is also an "AL" light(orange) I guess it's stand for "alarm" i supposed. You have any suggestions in using cables? or Am I off track? Am I using the right cable type for T1 point-to-point connection. The serial interface is T1 DSU/CSU

Poloboy,
In theory you should be using a RJ48 cable for your T1 interface. However in practice, the RJ45 should work okay. The RJ45 is a straight-through cable using 8 pins. The RJ48 is also a straight-through cable, but only uses pins 1,2,4,5. Pins 3,6,7,8 are not used. I'm using a RJ45 cable for one of my E1 connections (equivalent to your T1).
