connect to oracle (without ADO/BDE)

Hi,

I need an alternative to ADO and BDE to connect my app to an oracle database.

I found something on google called TOracleSession
witch dont pass by ADO or BDE to connect to oracle..

but the guy sell his component, and its too expensive for my needs..

so any idea on how i could do that?

We use the Direct Oracle Access (DOA) components from All Around Automations:

They're the ones who have the TOracleSession component you mentioned.

There's also a free component package called NCOCI8. I've used it for years. It's fast and reliable.

but as hilfy told me, i realiazed that the component was free! once oracle client as been installed...

i dont know why this guy is selling his component!?? its the same!

aslo i realized that u can call that "same" package under many platform as VB,C++. The name may vary.. ex in VB its ORacleSession.
