You can accomplish this by hiding the server drives (HideDrive Calc)....

Only problem you can have is that the program has some sort of internal "browser" and therefor doesn't check windows policy's..........

Petje
A+, MCP, MCSE on NT4.0 and windows 2000 and Windows server 2003 and CCEA

so , how can I get over this problem ?

Hi,

Can you make the Working Directory one off the server, a global or local drive? This may help you?

Cheers,
Carl.

Are you on AD?

Did you go to support.citrix.com and look there? This info is easily available there if you make the effort.

Dear Frankenherder :
I did this , and I made a lot of changes ,,
but the problem is that the software itself is directing the users to the C: of my Server.
I need to make it redirected to the C: of the users.

I need a hint !

I do not think there is anything you can do with Citrix.
I think it is your app.

Is this an off the shelf app?

For Word and Excel I have my users default file location changed from their My Documents on their Citrix Profile, to their I:\ drive which is their home directory.

Contact your app manufactorer or look in the registry to see if you can specify a different default location to save things to.

How can I refer to their C: Mapped Drive !?

The users when loggin through Citrix took the Drive V: for their C: Drive ...

I do not understand your question.

I gave you a good answer about what to do with your app. I can't do it for you.

Good luck with your problem.

Matt

Hi,

When you publish your application with CMC, there is a Working Directory option. You can do the following:-

Application Location Tab you can enter two fields:-

Command Line:
C:\Winnt\System32\Notepad.Exe

Working Directory:

On your system it may be blank or something else, so:-

Command Line:
C:\Winnt\System32\Notepad.Exe

Working Directory:
V:\Whichever_Directory_You_Want

Does this help?

Cheers,
Carl.
