Connect to Access Web DB using local excel???

I have an online web database IIS server, with and access e-commerece db. I wanted to know if I could connect to this database via excel to extract data as need be? It is a web server so read permissions are off for the database so New Web Query will not work unless there is something I missed and you can set username and password?
