Hello,

Can somebody please provide me with the command (from DOS) that you use to connect to a printer via IP??

Thanks

If the printer does not reside on a server, and has only been assigned an IP address how do you go about connecting a LPT port to the device?
Thanks

When you add a new printer add it as a LOCAL printer. On the next scree in the wizard at the bottom there is a "Create a New Port" select that. Then scroll down to "Standard TCP/IP Port"

Click next and enter the IP Address. There you go. The rest of the configuration is what you are used to.

Now if you are using a DOS application is requires LPT1 then you need to do the above on a print server or something to that effect. Then you can do that cornboy88 stated above.

good luck
