Connect barcode to VB

What contol or driver i must use to connected my vb to barcode scanner and i want use access

After you've installed that, you'll probably (can't say for sure because we don't know the scanner) just be doing serial I/O to a COM port.

It all depends on the barcode scanner used. I have worked with barcode scanners in the past, and they were "placed" between the keyboard and the PC. This means that they just supplied keyboard "clicks". They were programmed to give a tab character after the scanned data, so you could just put the focus on the first text box, and the scanner would fill it in and "tab" to the next one.

I've just gotten in to this and as DonQuichote says there are different types. The one that I use is a keyboard wedge that plugs into the keyboard port, no drivers needed, just plug and scan.
There are USB scanners as well but I'm sure you'll need drivers for those and I assume they would come with the scanner.

Patrick, you just reminded me that there's another configuration: a scanner with a serial port connector plus a serial-to-USB converter. That'll require drivers for both the scanner and the converter.

USB scanners might (or might not) discover their own drivers.

Yep, I've seen those. Actually considering it because most of my potential client will use laptops.
