Hi all

I have a single brand new Mac which the user would like to connect to the Novell 5.1 file server. We are using IP and not IPX.
Is there an easy way of connecting this thing to my Server with much expense. I have herd of a native file access pack available for purchase, but looks like it is Server based and we only want to connect one Mac so it looks like over kill.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

I believe there is an older Mac Client still on Novell's site, but you have to hunt for it. However, if you're running a newer Mac, which is running a variant of Unix called BSD, you'll have to either load the iFolder software on the server, or purchase a client from a third party vendor. Too bad Apple didn't include this.

It's really tough to get good information about what you're supposed to be using on MAC's.. Currently, there is a 3rd party app, can't remember the name, that is to be used for the mac client. That is unless you're using TCP/IP in native mode, then it's just a matter of making sure it's setup correctly on the server..

for email, you're probably better off using a regular plain ole mac email program and connect to GW with POP or IMAP.
