Hi.All...have a soundsation 2 polycom connected to a Mics R1T1, using an ATA. All is working good..can call in and out, but can't conference call. Aslo can't receive incoming calls when polycom is in use..what am I doing wrong..thanks in advance..

Thanks for all your responses..we are thinking of justing replacing the polycom with the digital one, that will work with a digital extensions...I just want to confirm before we go ahead an exchange it, will the digital polycom function with with direct plug into digital extension, as stated for the device or is there more programming involved?

Pretty much Plug & Play but even with it you need to make sure you have at least 2 Intercom paths.

right now the extension on the polycom is 247, if we plug in the new digi poly..will it pick up the extension, or a new one will be assigned to it, i.e the first jack it's plugged into..set relocation is set to on

Think we go with the digi version it will be easier to use, as we don't need to enter any feature codes i.e *3 for conference, should work with provided diplay buttons...again thanks for all your help

even for conference calling? so then the only difference is the hook up, then it woun't make sense to upgarde..let me know your feedback ..thanks

No need to swap as pretty much same thing aside from display features.

Analog:
1. Make or answer the first call.
2. Press Link 2. This automatically places the first call on hold.
3. Make or answer the second call.
4. Press Link * 3 to complete the conference.

Digital:
1. Make or answer the first call.
2. Press FEATURE 2. This automatically places the first call on hold.
3. Make or answer the second call.
4. Press FEATURE * 3 to complete the conference.

You have not acknowledged if you programmed a 2nd intercom and that all works now as was mentioned twice above.

If you go with a digital Polycom™ Direct Connect for Nortel or the analog one you have to make sure that your lines are in a pool and that extension has acces to that pool.

hi..curlycord..we had been looking at which way to go..but looks like there is no reason to spend any extra money if not required. I tried with an ATA and analog phone with my system and conferencing works fine with feature codes. will be going back to other location tomorrow, will upadte on it...thnaks
