Hi
Ok maybe this is a stupid question
Is there anyway to confirm that the backup server is getting info from the primary ?
Originally my SMTP config was working but AVAYA told me its wrong so I changed it back.
Now I can no longer see the users mailboxes in the backup server when I log into the backup server so thats making me think it's not writing.

My SMTP is now set

server A 10.10.10.10
Domain -10.10.10.10 server- 10.10.10.10 identifier vmpro@10.10.10.10

server B 10.10.11.10
10.10.11.10 10.10.11.10 vmpro@10.10.11.10

maybe just make a change to a module and see if it ever writes ?

Thx very much

It's only dialtone!!!

If it is on Windows use debugview or if it is on linux check the log files ( of the backup server of course )

There are a few ways to tell.

dbgview traces show the files being sent via smtp and you can read the smtp responses.

you can look at the active folder and see new messages being placed there before they are whisked away every three minutes or so

you can look at the backup acoounts folder to see if new messages are there.

perfect

I should of thought about looking at the backup folders.
I'll also take a look at the bdview ( its windows )
Thanks to you both
