I configured my email account in outlook express and it was working fine. Now the account has stopped working in OE and when i see its properties it shows Incomming Mail (POP3) Server as Localhost instead of the server name which i had given at the time of configuring the account.

When i change it to the original it starts working fine but after sometime it changes on its own to Localhost.
Can someone provide me a hint on how to prevent it from changing on its own?

Thanks,

What anti virus software are you using. It may be settng itself up as a proxy to check your mail.

There is no Norton Antivirus.
Trend Micro Office Corporate edition Scan Engine is loaded.

Norton Antivirus anymore does not change to Localhost... however I would definately look into the AV options for your Trend Micro app..

Trend Micro Office Scan Corporate edition is there on our antivirus server. The client on which this problem occurs have TM Office Scan Client. When i disable the real-time scan for POP3 mail then this problem eliminates but when i enable it the problem of changing the incoming mail server to "localhost" reoccurs.
