I will be setting up Outlook mail profiles on about 100 Win2K PC's over the next few days. I need to know how to configure the profile while I am logged on as someone with administrator rights, as opposed to having to log on as the individual user. Some of these PC's will be shared by multiple users. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Configuring Mail Profiles on Win2K

From what i understand, you want to setup profiles on the local workstations so that multiple users can use this system?
Lets see if this works...
First off, you need to have Outlook converted to Corporate Workgroup from an internet mail account.
From there you can setup your initial profile by cfging the exchange server and the username. After that profile is set up, the best way to go through and set up another profile would be to go to control panel, and then the mail icon. Launch the mail icon and it will give you another setup window.
On this setup window, should be a button that says "show profiles" click on that button. In this new window you will see the profile you just set up. Also there is an option for you to copy that profile, click on copy, rename the copied profile to the new users name, then walk through the windows to point that user profile to their correct exchange server settings.
I did this about a year ago when I had to config a lot of systems. I hope this works for you!

Thanks for responding. Maybe I was not so clear in my request, so I will reword myself. I have Win2K PC's that will be used by a couple of different users, all logging in using their own credentials. When they log on and open Outlook, they should be able to have their profile open their mailbox. They also will get their drive mappings, etc...
I have no problem setting this up, as long as the user supplies their password, or I change their passwords on the server. Although these scenarios both work, neither of these solutions are feasible. I need a way to configure their profile while logged on to the PC with administrative rights.

With these profiles setup the way they are, they should be able to log on and reach their own profile. There is also a setting in Outlook that allows you to log on using your network profile. Check the "advanced" setting on the outlook profile setting. It give you an option to use NT authentication.
