Hello,

I'm going insane trying to configure a TN799DP CLAN card in a Definity G3 v11. Either the card is failing, or it isn't properly configured (probably the latter of the two!)

The configuration matches that of our other two CLAN cards under 'ip-interfaces', 'ip-services' and 'ethernet options'.

A link on the LAN is established at 100Mbit. It isn't in conflict with any other IPs on our network. However, I cannot ping the CLAN from any network client, nor can I ping outbound from that particular CLAN. The cable and port on the network switch are good.

Also, none of the three status lights on the card are illuminated. When I run a 'list configuration port-network' I see the following for that particular card:

01A06 CONTROL-LAN TN799DP HW01 FW007
u u u u u u u u
u u u u u u u u
u

The existing and functioning CLANs show up like this:
01A09 CONTROL-LAN TN799DP HW01 FW007
u u u u u u u u
u u u u u u u u
17
(The card on 01A10 shows up identical to 01A09)

The only thing I see different is that port 17 is still unassigned on the new card. Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Jason

You need to "add data-module next" and assign the 17th port on the card to the "ethernet" type data-module. Do a "list data-mod" to see your other ones if you need more info.

CL,

You rock! It worked. Thanks for all of your help!
