Hi,

I have 2 sites connected via T1 with a VPN. The corporate site currently has exchange 2k and I would like to configure the remote site with it's own exchange server. I'd like to connect these 2 sites via the VPN. I read something about the x400 connector, but it doesn't seem right. Anyone know of a better idea to do this. Thanks.

If you're running everything on Exchange 2000, you want to create some Routing Groups for your sites, and then join them together using either Routing Group Connectors (which actually use SMTP to talk) or SMTP Connectors. Routing Group Connectors are very simple to set up, and since you're all VPN'ed up there, it's probably the easiest and most logical option for you.

How about domains? Do both servers need to be on the same domain? I'd rather keep separate domains, but if keeping them both on the same domain makes things easier and smoother then I can do that.
