I have followed the steps to configure a FTP server and when I access it in the browser using ftp://localhost/ I am able to see the folder I have placed in the server. When I access it from a remote machine I get the follow ing message. "Windows cannot access this folder. make sure file name is correct, and that you have permission to access this folder. The server name or address could not be resolved." I checked to allow anonymous access when configuring server.

thanks,

Ken

Thanks for the post but that did not solve the problem, however instead of seeing folders in the FTP you see a list of folders available. Still having same problm when trying to access FTP from a machine other then the one the server is on, port 21 is open in and outbound.

Thanks for the great info but it is still not working, I am using a Belkin wireless access point that is NAT and have a virtual server set up for FTP there is no other config on that except to enable FTP on port 21 to a specific lan machine. I am gonna try a third party FTP app now. Thanks again.
