Conferencing

Have a user who cannot conference from his phone. Place 1st call, hit Conf soft key call call goes on hold, dial second number hit connect key and nothing. Original call remains on hold. User has A06 programmed on key 18. Tried to swap 3903 phone and still same problem. Anything that I might be missing ?

make sure you have the latest loadware patch install on the pbx and flash (update the firmware on the phones) I believe the latest firmware for 3903 should be 85...don't remember exactly.

go to ld 32 and type FSUM that should tell you what you currently have installed

i don't know of a class mark, my 3903 does not allow connect until i get answer supervision fromt the 2nd called number.. until then i get he same thing. have you tested it to see fi it will work after the party answers?

you're right about that John, the party has to answer first before the connect will work.

In my lab I have several 3900 phase 1 phone, the connect/swap key will not work until I update the firmware on the set...this goes for xfer and conf.

3900 series phones, in my opinion are crap - I wish they kept the 2616 around or continue to make them

at least 28 zillion on the rebuild market, just wish they would FIX the 3900, love the label thing

I have waited until the person has answered and try to hit the connect key but the original call still remains on hold. I just tried the same on my extension which is a 3903 and no problems. Interesting.

might want to re-down load the firmware on that set.. or change tn's.. ? don't sound like a command line issue. if the set didn't allow transfer, the call would not go on hold, imo
