Hi everybody,

I have a customer requesting for the below setup, i am not sure how it can be done. Can somebody guide me on this?

Caller A makes and external call[lets say B], he then conferences another person C on his network. For some reason the caller wants to drop out of the conference call. But when he disconnects the other calls too disconnect. Is there a way to avoid caller B and C getting from disconnected?

If he calls caller C externally and disconnects the calls between B & C stay on.

Any help or guidance on this us much appreciated.

Regards,

sanketh

On the Nortel the initiating set doing the conference AO3 or AO6 has to stay on or the conference is over.

Hi John

The Switch is a CS1000M rls 4.5
the CLS on the trunks are unr

As per the above example, the outgoing circuits to call caller B is DASS and Caller C, is on another site in the customer network connected via TIE line.

Regards,

Sanketh.

Normally, two outgoing trunks are considered as "unsupervised" and the CS 1000 will not allow two unsupervised trunks to be connected without an internal party present (since they could remain locked up). One incoming trunk and one outgoing trunk is allowed. "Trunk to Trunk Connection" (refer to Features and Services NTP) has some settings which override those restrictions.

BIGINDIAN65 - except in the case which I noted above with external trunks, the originator of the conference can drop out of the call and it will stay up.
