Conference trouble

Having trouble conferencing on a MICS 7.1 with a PRI. After establishing the first call when I press conference/transfer the display reads make a second call.

When I try to dial the second call it doesn't select another trunk, or put the first call on hold. I tried to transfer and join the call and it blind transfers me. Any suggestions?

Are you putting the first call on hold? If so, it should put it on hold on one of intercom buttons (you have to have 2 intercom buttons). You then make the second call, etc...

1. Make first call
2. Put call on hold
3. Make new call
4. Press Conference(feature 3)
5. Press held line

One thing I like to explaine to the customers is that the confrence button is really the "how to" button. If you don't know what to do next press the confrence button and it will tell you your next step in the confrence.

side note: do you have a talk path available? intercom appearances or line appearances?
