for a regular sized boardroom / conference room I would go also with the B179 and extended mics if the room requires it.
For a larger room where that is not enough I have seen 2 Polycom IP7000 phones that were daisychained and had each 2 extended mics which allowed full control from both IP7000 units and ensured higher speaker power than just a single phone.
Any more than that a full fledged conference unit from an audio video dealer that integrates either analog or SIP as the third party endpoint license makes no difference at this price tag any more. There are some pretty neat things out there but they cost more than most of my cars I ever purchased (yes I am cheap)

Our customers have all been pretty content with the Avaya B149, 169, and 179 units. They are all pretty much the same basic conference phone.
The b149 is analog, the b169 is analog but also cordless for those that don't have a wired up table or want to pass it around some, and the b179 is SIP based for when IP is the only way to go (remote building over point-to-point or VPN)
I came across a Konftel 300wx a few weeks ago, easy to set up, can be put into a VLAN, has a DECT connection to the base unit, which gets rid of clutter under the table, and also has an option to be connected to a smartphone via a USB cable should there be problems with the network.
