Have a Compact 6x16 DR2, just bought a Polycom analog set connected via ATA. We are unable to do a conference call using the Flash *2 method. Anyone know for a fact if DR5.1 will allow it? Or is an upgrade to CICS needed.

OOPS I stand corrected. May I restate my question?

In short what is the minimum Norstar to do a conference call on an ATA device?

Reading from the ATA user guide, a conference call is set up using Flash/Link 2 to place first call on hold. Then after second call is made a Flash/Link *3 completes the conference set up.

I have proven it doesn't work on 6x16 DR2, so what's the first Software/Hardware that allows it?

And thanks to BKRIKE for his excellent observation skill.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I would approach the problem from a different direction:
I would create the conference via 3 way (conference) calling using link. Many business lines have the feature enabled by default- especially Centrex packages.
It's feat71, feat*71 with ATA
It would only use one of your lines as opposed to two, and the volume would be much better than that of a conference created in the Nortel.
If your lines don’t have 3 way/ conference, you can enable it from your provider for a few bucks a month.

I am assuming this would work with your software- but cant remember for certain. A quick way to tell is: start a call on a regular M series phone, press feat71- dial another number, press feat71 again- you now have a conference (if link is enabled.)
