Conf/Tds 3

Hi all!

I need to replace a defective Conf/Tds card. Do I need to disable anything (besides the enable/disable toggle on the card) before changing this card?

You didn't say what type of Option you have 11c thru 81c.The conf/tds will usually be in your 2 slot on an 11.But if you have a different option will still need to disable the conf/tds loop first. Try printing the CEQU in ld 22 and find out where your conf cards are located

he's right, soft and hard disable any card with both options. if your in an 11, you might as well turn it off. with an 11 and usually one conf tds, if it's bad i would power down, since your pretty much out of service

This is an option 61C, the TDS loops are 0 & 16 and the Conf loops are 1 & 17. Where do I go from here? The trouble reported is "can't transfer at times". I got this trouble report from several users. how exactly, would I disable and enable (LD 34 DISX 0 or 1, and ENLX 0 or 1?)

That should disable TDS/CONF Pack Loop 0/1.Then you can switch disable the card & replace.

Would also run traffic reports to see if any FTM's (failure to match) this would mean that no time slots are available. If this is a 61C how many loops and what are they (ie 4 0, 4 1, etc) How many T1's? Do you use MOH? Run system traffic reports in LD 2, system reports 1 and 2. If this is intermitent that would be what I would check first. What time of day does the cann't transfer occur?
