hi,
is there a way to disable the windows 2000 Computer Management console so that my computer cannot be managed by remote computers?
thanks

Domain or workgroup?

If workgroup, and you're the administrator of the machine, then users on other machines will need to have an Adminstrator level account on yours to be able to do this. So, just reduce the level of access other accounts on your machine have. Or you could set the local group policy to deny access to 'Everyone' from the network (Computer Configuration|Windows Settings|Security Settings|Local Policies|User Rights Assignment|Deny access to this computer from the Network) - run gpedit.msc. This will i think also stop access to shared resources on your machine (if there are any).

If domain, you'd need to talk to you domain administrator.
