computer information

I need a way to capture some computer information.
I have a web page that will be on an intranet for the company i work for but i do not have access to the server
so everything i do must be done client-side.

Each computer has an ID. I want to be able to get that unique ID automitcally when the user submits a form. This would help when i have to service the machine. The id comes setup on the machine ..does anyone have any ideas..
