computer geting slow

It has been 1 year since i bought my computer.
Since then I have used 86.0 GB
I have 62.9 GB free space
The computer is not as fast as it was.
I think I would like to start deleting files,programs.
Where do i start.

Here are a few things to consider:

1.) Possibly adding additional memory
2.) If you have anti-virus software installed, is it
current and are the virus defintions for your
anti-virus software current? Unwanted viruses
can affect a PC's performance.
3.) Installing a reputable adware/spyware removal software
and scanning your PC with it from time to time. Adware
and spyware can also affect your operating system's
performance

4.) Updating the firmware for any devices installed on the
PC (CD/DVD drives, graphics card, external devices,
etc.)

You have made some good points.
I have a few other problems
I have a few exe files that i can't delete.
For example: voipbuster.exe
I don't know if that is a big deal.

In the begining I didn't keep track of what i was downloading to my computer,therefore I have files and folders that are junk and I don't know wheter I should delete or not.

Add/Remove Programs is the best way to delete unwanted programs. If you go the way of deleting folders directly from C:\Program Files (or wherever else programs could be installed), you could very well delete the uninstall files needed to properly remove the program from the PC.
Also, be VERY CAREFUL when deleting .exe, .dll, .ini files (to name a few). One false move and you may find yourself reinstalling programs. There are websites that you can go to and plug in file names to see if they are legit or bogus (spyware or adware). I'll see if I can dig a couple up but if you're decent with search engines (Google, Lycos, etc.) see if you can find one or two of these sites on your own.

I'd start the cleanup operation by running Ccleaner from

it'll take out any old tempfiles leftover from installs and much more. I'd guess at more than a Gb, maybe three, in your circumstances.

Perhaps a HijackThis log posted in a new thread in

http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=760

would be the next step, there's a big chance that you have some infections in there.

It seems like a good product.

I found the right button to download.
I did a claean with cc cleaner.
It removed a lot of stuff.
I hope this is not going to crash my computer.

I am at Add or Remove programs.
I see a program,Xml step by step.
I probably dowmloaded this a few months ago.
I went to program files.
The folder is not there for this program.
If I just remove it from Add or Remove Panel it will not be enough.
I also have to remove the folder from my C drive.
Question
1) How can I know what Xml step by step is.
2) Where is the folder for this program.
