computer freezes when FWD from outlook

I am having an odd problem when forwarding email from MS outlook 2000. I am using MS word as my editor and for some reason when i click on the forward button the computer freezes. I have narrowed the problem down to nsword.exe. In the task manager this application is using 99 percent of the CPU and it gets stuck there. If i end this task everything goes back to normal. Any one know what might be causing this to happen?
