Even thought all power management options are turned off in the bios, and OS (verified in the registry), a computer here sends itself into "sleep" mode approximately 30 minutes after it is booted for the first time each day. I write, "sleep" mode because the power LED turns red instead of the usual green (oblivious to user activity). The problem is that the computer cannot be brought out of this mode and the power cord must be unplugged (holding the power button does nothing and there is no reset button). This only happens once a day and it’s after the first boot in the morning only. This also happens regardless of weather the computer is shutdown and left plugged into or not into the wall power socket overnight. I've switched power strips and tried GW's recommended troubleshooting (reseat cards, stop processes, etc...). But its tough to pinpoint since it only happens once a day and cannot be replicated until the next day. This has to do with the 2k Pro OS because the computer does not power into this mode and force a hard power off the next morning if left in the bios overnight. There are no entries in the event log, except for the starting of processes on reboot, and 2k does not acknowledge the computer was shutdown or even entered this state. I've also check the machine for boot sector viruses and the SAV corp. Ed is fully up to date, as is the OS. No worms are present either. Sample of shutdowns:

Anyone else experience similar activity? Leaving the computer on all the time could be an easy fix but I would like to get to the bottom of this before there is serious OS corruption.
