Compile and Distribute a Crystal Report

Hi all,
I am having difficulties in Compiling and distributing a report.

My scenario.
============

I created a new report and want the users(in a network) use it. I compiled (with not checking the Distribute option) and I got three files, .crf, .rpt and .exe. I copied these files and copied on to a network. I went to the network to run, nothings happening, please suggest.

Do all of the end users have the Crystal Report Viewer? Do all of the users have all required software/security levels to view data returned to report if refresh is desired?

If they don't have the Cr run time files you will need to create a Distribution (Setup.EXE) and install that on their machines. Editor and Publisher of Crystal Clear

Since you have a network, you can now use Report - Report Distribution Expert and send the output to a network folder. That will allow anyone on the network to run the setup.exe and install the required software on their hard drive.

If you have CR on your PC, you should be able to double click this EXE on the network and get the launch window, but if you do this from any PC without CR, it needs to have the launch software installed. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

You'll need the "compile and report distribution expert" from

http://support.crystaldecisions.com/fix/topdownloads.asp

and you'll need Crystal Reports Developer for it to work. Then open your report select Report>Compile Report and make sure the "distribute report after" option is selected.
Follow the steps and a folder with a setup.exe among other things is created. This is what you need to distribute reports to machines without crystal reports.
