We are migrating about 2000 workstations from Windows 2000 to XP. We have a Win2k application which will not run under XP but runs perfectly if we use compatability mode.

Problem is that if a different user logs in then the application won't run in compatability mode by default - you have to set it.

Is there some way of getting the application to run in compatability mode automatically for any user?

the only thing I can think of.. is toss the shortcut into the all users desktop and set the compatability there.

On the flip side.. toss it into the default profile desktop configured properly and delete the existing profiles (assuming they have no local data stored)
