I’m looking for a free utility that will compare two text files and show any differences between them, preferably this would have two windows and display one file in each, it could be either an MS-DOS or Win9X program. Any suggestions?

You might want to search around for a program called "COMPARERITE". This program was retired a couple years ago, so it might be tough to find. It was an excellent Win9x program that could do what you described... [deejay]

Hi,

Look in c:\windows\command

You will find FC.EXE

run the command

fc file1.txt file2.txt

It will show you differences!!!
