I have a database thats updated weekly. The database is purged and refreshed. Is there anyway using cold fusion to compact the empty database?

Our ISP said in order for this to work MS Access would need to be loaded on the server. Which it isn't.

As far as I know there is no way to tell the database to compact itself from SQL.

There is however a utility you can download from microsoft called jetcomp.exe which you may be able to get to do the job on the server if your hosting company will allow you to run it on there server.

I've never done this but it may be worth a try.
