Has anybody taken this exam to get certified by Avaya? I just realized if I take this exam and pass I can become an ACA in a variety of different fields.

Just curious to see how difficult the test is, how many questions, etc etc.

If anybody has info on this I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

lol, no... are you working out of the 1221 6th ave. building in NYC.

LOL Sorry about that.

No actually I work in Southern California.

I would like to go work for SIRIUS Satellite Radio in NYC though...lol...they are an Avaya shop.

Google is hiring a Telecom Engineer in NY. I would go after that. They would probably pay better then SIRIUS as they are making money and SIRIUS has yet to generate a profit.

lol, i saw that too!!! it looks like google is looking for someone to build out thier voice network.

siriussatelliteradio,
you also need to go through online assessments on top of passing the basic exam to get your Certification.
thx

I've completed about 15 different online assessments thats why I was inquiring about that test because that is the only thing I need to get my certification.

Thanks

The test you're talking about isn't too difficult. It is very network focused though. I purchased the Cisco CCNA books and read through the non-Cisco specific one to get the knowledge I needed to pass the course.

Thanks for the info. Do they have any classroom classes to help prepare for the test? Im not too big on books, Im more of a kinetic learner. How many questions are on the test?

Thanks again.

siriussatteliteradio,
This is not a difficult test at all. It does include many questions on networking basics. I am strictly telecom, very little data experience but I passed this test on the first try without ever looking at any of the course material. I don't remember how many questions there are, it took me about 1:45 to complete the test. Shouldn't be a problem.

If you're looking for a classroom, then I'd suggest looking at the CCNA certification. You could knock out two birds with one stone by getting your CCNA and also getting the knowledge for your core ACA material.

Otherwise, Westnet has some classes that prepare, but they're online and to be honest, I struggled with those courses, it was like someone reading something to me.
