I have three databases and 2 computers

DB1: the common dialog works fine (let's call the computer its on Computer 1)

I copied DB1 to another computer let's call this DB2 on Computer 2

The common dialog object doesn't show up on in DB2 on Computer 2 I get an error I will try to run the registry regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx
and see what happens on computer 2

However, I made a copy of the malfunctioning DB and brought it back to computer 1, therefor on computer 1 I have:
DB1 that is OK regarding the common dialog
DB3 copy of malfunctioning common dialog db

On this computer (computer1) I ran the registry, it indicated successful, but that DB3 common dialog control still doesn't work and the square is blank. When I try to copy the control from DB1 (common dialog OK) to DB3 it says bad licensing. Also On export I get the same sort of message.

have a look at this thread: "Use form to browse drives" jan,30 2001 (posted jan/15)
it explains how to use the commondialog api instead of the control, it avoids the problem of unregistered controls
