Hello All,

I am trying to find out how to change the users "Exchange Server" name in their user profile, via command- line.

Have about 150 - 200 users and am changing to a whole new server.
Ideally I could run a simple script on login to change that user specific information.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

As long as the old server is still online then the clients will automatically be redirected to the new server and their mail profile will be updated.

Hi AdmanOK,

I think I see what you are saying.
If I have Exchange and ExchangeII running, and all are set to Exchange, then when I shut down Exchange the clients should automatically go to ExchangeII?
Is this correct? I am not an Exchange Admin, so I am not highly informed about the complete mechanism.

But, if I was going across domains, I would have a whole other monster to deal with, correct?

Ok, here is a wrinkle.
The Exchange servers are on separate domains and the domains will not be changed at the same time as the Exchange servers.

So, OH! Both are Exchange 5.5.
So I need to figure out how to change this info, command- line to incorporate into a batch or maybe even a VBscript.

I just realized I am on the wrong forum.
So sorry. I will go to the 5.5 forum. Sorry to bother everyone.
