Command Line ftp software that supports implicit ssl

I need a command line ftp software that supports implicit ssl. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm running redhat 9.0 and have tried ftp (no joy there) and gftp (could work but not much documentation).

Appreciate any help you could give me.

It looks as if this software will work hover there is no documentation out there on how to generate and send a certificate to the ftp server I'm trying to connect to.

Anyone have any ideas?
