I have an Access 2000 DB working fine in every respect on my own PC with XP professional. On one of the switchboards, I have 4 report options and a text box [weekno]. The idea is the user selects the week no for the report (eg 43) and then the desired report from the four available (eg Invoice summary) and the clicks on the command button which runs the preview. Easy stuff, and it works fine on my own PC. However, I then send the updated database to my client's business network (MS Small business server 2003 and 5 XP pro workstations) and the damn command button does nothing. It's driving me crazy. There have been two such buttons that haven't worked. One I managed to get working just by remaking the button - but I don't know why it worked then 'cos I used exactly the same code behind the button. Any ideas?

You might have missing References on the computers you moved the db to. Try opening the Visual Basic editor from one of those machines (Alt-F11), and click on Tools, then References. Look for any entries at the top like "MISSING: Microsoft DAO 3.6 Library". Un-check the check box and then close and open it again, re-check the box and try it again.

Hi Webcats,

Thanks for that. I'll try that when I'm next at the clients on Thursday. Thanks for the quick response.

I've just tried it remotely and by god it worked! Many thanks - saved me a nervous break-down.
