combo box with linked data

Ok here is my problem

I have 2 databases one that is on the network and the 2nd one on my computer. Those are 2 different databases.

On a form Im using the data from a linked table to fill my combo box with the needed informations. The problem is that if I open my database and I want to see the data in the combo box the 1st db cannot be opened ... and its the same thing if the 1st one is already opened and I open my form I see no data in my combo box ... I tried with the exclusive modes and with the lock options ... nothing ... still doing the same thing ... on both db the open mode is set to shared ... and lock to none ...

IF anyone could help me out on this one I would be grateful
